Bonjour,
Je suis a à la recherche d’une entreprise qui accepterait de me « sponsoriser » pour venir en Australie.
J’ai un M2 Management et marketing des activités de services et un BBA reconnu a l’internationnal de l’EDHEC Business school . Je suis donc BAC+5Hi , My sector where I perform the most is the “services area” , I do a MSC / Master 2 in Management services activities that’s why I think to be very innovative in this environment . Furthermore , my years in entrepreneurship and structure development in the campus of EDHEC BUSINESS school give me an adaptable side to work in the others area. I actively seeks a vacancy in Australia. Thank you again a thousand times for taking the time to read.

Hope my answer will help you (and others).I am frenchy myself. Been living 10+ years in Oz, pretty much started my career in Marketing in Sydney and set up my own digital marketing agency (Link here).
General info about Sponsored visas
Gov. is becoming increasingly stringent in getting a sponsored 457 Visa. One big ticket item is to confirm, as an employer, that you have done your due diligence in trying to recruit a « local ». Also, sponsored positions should be in line with salary expected by a local.Visa application costs approx. $5k for the first visa via a migration agent. A bit less once you are an approved sponsored for subsequent nominations
So with that in mind, unless you have specific experience, it will be tough for any prospective employer to sponsor you from the get go.
Experience matters significantly more than diplomas
Aussies care only so much about your degrees. They care mostly about your experience and results you can demonstrate. Many talented folks in Biz and Mktg only hold a Bachelor. Those wanting to upgrade typically go through MBAs after a good dose of pro. experience.
Being in marketing having a portfolio of past campaigns and live examples of digital work becomes useful
I wish I had that bit of info before starting to apply for jobs here. It was a bit of rough landing for me after having spent $30k worth of education and living expenses in getting my master degree here in Sydney.
Don’t dismiss small jobs, they give you local XP
Turns out that despite graduating from a local uni and starting to speak decent english, I was only good enough to do pick and pack , cleaning and other menial jobs.Don’t get fussed about that, put your ego in your pocket.
Most employers don’t want to put you down or think you worth less than you think you are. Most of the time they just don’t know and they tend to be skeptic about international XP unless you work for an internationally recognised brand. After all, they just need to see local experience before they can make a judgement.
Getting a temp work in a small biz and working up the chain is also your best way to get sponsored later down the track. They know you, have seen what you are worth and would be ready to go the extra mile to keep you working in their team.
This approach worked for me and many international friends who got their visa using this approach. Most frenchies have terrible english
Another one I’d put in culture clash (read deconfiture). We frenchies tend to have an elevated perception of our level of english. That is until you land in Sydney and realise you struggle to line up a few sentences in a normal conversation.
Get those menial jobs, they force you to speak english.
Tip: Stay away from other frenchies, you will pick up vocabulary much much faster if you don’t speak la langue de moliere.
This should prop your confidence up when going to proper interviews.Good luck!
Cheers,
