Dear Au Pair,
We are Sole and Graham from Melbourne, and we are looking for our next au pair to start working with us in APRIL 2011, when our current au pair will be finishing her stay with us.It is very important to us to find the right person to look after the most precious things in our lives, our children. And because of that, we are going to be including you as a real member of our family, and you will be treated always with respect, consideration for your feelings, and hopefully as a life long friend.
We are warm and welcoming people, who appreciate honesty and believe that trust and communication are the real key to a successful relationship.
If you share these values, love children, and you are ready for a year in Australia, we would love to hear from you!
We are a family with 3 lovely boys. Jayden is 6 years old and is going to be in grade one next year, and Tristan and Luc are twins (non-identical) who are now 18 month old toddlers, who are enjoying discovering the world, exploring and developing their own little personalities.
Graham is a full time engineer, and I am a part time dentist. We will be needing a nanny to look after the twins while I am at work and Jayden is at school.
We live in a very comfortable home in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We have a fairly new two-story, 5 bedroom house. You will have your own room with a double bed, wardrobe, vanity and widescreen LCD TV with DVD player. You are welcome to use our computer with internet connection as well.
There is a bus stop outside our house that passes the nearby shopping centre and train station. We live in suburbia – not the city, but also not a little town. There are restaurants, cinemas and clubs within 10 min drive, or 15/20 min by bus. And you can go to the city by public transport as well, though that would take you a bit longer. Having said that, we are looking into the possibility of getting a car for our Au pair to use.
Sole, Qu’est-ce que vous attendez de votre fille au pair??
You will mainly be looking after our twins. These children are the most beautiful in the world (in our opinion), with their own special characteristics, lovability, cuteness and cheekiness.
The special person we are looking for is someone who will embrace an opportunity to experience life as a valued member of our family, and benefit from the knowledge and experience that life abroad will offer her.
Our Au pair will be kind, loving, patient and nurturing to our children, and a pleasant person to be around. In return we offer our friendship, the safety and comfort of our home, and all our effort to make your stay with us a positive and valuable experience in your life.
Whilst myself and my husband are at work, our Au pair will look after our twins, and during school holidays our 6 year old son. Typical tasks involve changing nappies, dressing, making bottles, feeding, playing, taking them for a walk and play at the park, lots of cuddles, putting them to bed for mid-day nap, keeping the kitchen and play areas tidy, as well as the children’s bedrooms.
We also will be needing some help in preparing dinner at least twice a week, and minor household chores like putting washing out, bringing it in, folding and putting kids clothes away. This is all pretty much the typical tasks of an Au pair. The total weekly hours of work are expected to be around 45, spread over 5 days, with 2 days off a week, alternating friday and sunday off, and saturday and sunday off, because I work every second saturday during the morning.
Please feel free to contact us if you think you are the right girl for us. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Looking forward to hear from you soon,
Sole and Graham.Voilà l’annonce, si vous avez des questions n’hésitez pas.
Marine.
